How Amarel collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Last updated 16 October 2026

At AMAREL, we believe individuality deserves to be respected. Just as every fragrance we create is intended to represent a distinct identity, we recognise that your personal information deserves care, discretion, and protection.

This Privacy Policy explains how AMAREL (“AMAREL”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, processes, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, purchase our products, register as a customer, participate in our exclusive fragrance releases, or otherwise interact with us.

We are committed to handling your information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable Indian laws.

By providing personal information to AMAREL, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular purpose, we will seek that consent separately.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a seamless and personalised experience, we may collect the following categories of information.

A. Personal and Contact Information

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Billing and shipping addresses
  • Account information and login credentials, where applicable
  • Communication preferences

B. Purchase and Transaction Information

  • Products purchased
  • Order numbers and purchase dates
  • Payment status and transaction references
  • Shipping, delivery, return, and refund information
  • Purchase history and customer service records

C. Exclusive Collection and Purchase Eligibility Information

AMAREL operates a limited-release fragrance model in which certain fragrances may remain available for subsequent purchases exclusively to verified customers who acquired them during their initial release.

To administer this model, we may maintain records of:

  • Your original qualifying purchase
  • The fragrance and collection associated with that purchase
  • Your customer or order identification details
  • Your eligibility to purchase subsequent bottles of the same fragrance
  • Verification and authentication information required to protect that eligibility

These records allow us to recognise qualifying customers, prevent unauthorised access, and preserve the integrity of our limited-release model.

D. Website and Technical Information

When you interact with our website, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Device information
  • Pages visited and browsing activity
  • Website interaction and referral information
  • Cookies and similar technologies

E. Communications and Preferences

We may collect information you voluntarily provide through customer support enquiries, email correspondence, feedback, surveys, promotional registrations, or other direct interactions.

We seek to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

2. How We Collect Your Information

We may obtain personal information:

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, register for a release, or contact us.
  • Automatically through your use of our website and permitted tracking technologies.
  • Through payment processors, delivery partners, and other authorised service providers involved in fulfilling your orders.
  • Through marketing registrations, campaigns, or other interactions where you voluntarily provide information.

Where information is collected for a particular purpose, we aim to communicate that purpose clearly at the point of collection.

3. How We Use Your Information

AMAREL uses personal information for legitimate and disclosed business purposes, including:

Order Processing and Fulfilment To confirm orders, process payments, arrange delivery, provide order updates, manage returns or refunds, and assist with after-sales services.

Exclusive Purchase Eligibility To maintain and verify records of original purchasers, administer eligibility for future purchases of qualifying fragrances, and prevent unauthorised or fraudulent use of such eligibility.

Customer Experience To respond to enquiries, resolve concerns, provide relevant assistance, and improve our products and services.

Product Updates and Marketing Where you have provided the necessary consent, to communicate information about upcoming collections, exclusive releases, brand experiences, and other promotional activities.

Website Improvement To understand website performance, identify technical issues, analyse customer interactions, and improve functionality, subject to applicable consent requirements.

Security and Fraud Prevention To verify transactions, protect customer accounts, investigate suspicious activities, and maintain the security and integrity of our systems.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance To fulfil applicable tax, accounting, regulatory, consumer protection, and other legal obligations.

We will not use your information for unrelated purposes in a manner inconsistent with applicable law without providing the required notice or obtaining further consent where necessary.

4. Exclusive Purchase Eligibility and Customer Records

The limited availability of AMAREL fragrances forms an essential part of our brand philosophy.

Certain fragrances may be released in predetermined quantities, with subsequent purchasing opportunities reserved for verified customers who acquired the fragrance during its original release.

To preserve this arrangement, AMAREL may maintain a secure record connecting an eligible purchaser to the relevant fragrance.

For example, a customer who qualifies through the original release of TUTELA 00 may have their purchase eligibility recorded for future releases or restocks of TUTELA 00, subject to the applicable collection and purchase terms.

These records are maintained for the purposes of:

  • Recognising and authenticating eligible purchasers.
  • Administering fragrance-specific repurchase access.
  • Preventing duplicate, fraudulent, or unauthorised eligibility claims.
  • Communicating essential information concerning an existing purchase or eligibility.

Eligibility records are separate from promotional marketing preferences. Customers are not required to subscribe to promotional communications merely to maintain their eligibility.

Where a customer requests deletion of information essential to verifying their eligibility, we will explain any resulting impact on future purchase access, to the extent reasonably practicable and subject to applicable law.

The detailed conditions governing exclusive purchase eligibility are established separately in AMAREL’s applicable Terms and Conditions.

5. Consent and Your Choices

We respect your ability to decide how your personal information is used.

Where consent is required under applicable law, we will seek consent that is informed, specific to the relevant purpose, and capable of being withdrawn.

Consent to receive promotional communications will not be a mandatory condition of purchasing an AMAREL fragrance.

You may withdraw applicable consent by contacting us at admin@amarel.in or through other withdrawal mechanisms we make available.

Withdrawal will not invalidate processing lawfully undertaken before such withdrawal. Certain information may continue to be processed where permitted or required by law.

Where information is essential to fulfilling an order, maintaining a requested service, or verifying exclusive purchase eligibility, choosing not to provide or retain that information may affect our ability to provide the relevant service.

6. Marketing and Brand Communications

AMAREL may communicate with customers through email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other communication channels, where permitted by law.

These communications may include:

  • Announcements of new fragrance collections.
  • Invitations to limited releases or brand experiences.
  • Information about product availability.
  • Exclusive brand updates and promotional offers.

We will obtain marketing consent where required and provide an appropriate means to opt out.

You may unsubscribe through the mechanism provided in a marketing message, where available, or contact admin@amarel.in.

Opting out of promotional messages does not prevent AMAREL from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications, including order confirmations, shipping updates, security notifications, or information essential to an existing customer relationship.

We do not make marketing subscriptions a condition of retaining qualifying purchase eligibility.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality and improve the browsing experience.

Depending on the services and integrations enabled, these may include:

Essential Cookies Necessary for core website functions such as navigation, cart management, checkout, and security.

Functional Cookies Used to remember preferences and improve website usability.

Analytics Cookies Used to understand website traffic, measure performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Advertising Cookies Where enabled, used to measure advertising effectiveness and support relevant promotional campaigns.

You may manage certain cookies through your browser settings. Where applicable law requires consent or additional controls for non-essential technologies, AMAREL will provide appropriate choices.

Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality or convenience of parts of the website.

The Meta Pixel This website carries the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta. It tells Meta which pages you open, when you choose to claim a bottle, and when a claim or request reaches us, and we use it to see which of our advertisements bring people here. The pixel keeps a cookie in your browser, and Meta may connect what it learns to a Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy. You can limit how Meta uses it in your Meta account’s ad settings, or block it in your browser.

8. Payment Information and Security

Payments made through our website may be processed by authorised third-party payment service providers.

Such providers may collect payment credentials and other financial information necessary to complete your transaction, in accordance with their own applicable privacy and security practices.

AMAREL generally receives information such as transaction references, payment status, and relevant payment-method details rather than complete card credentials.

We do not require customers to disclose their card security codes, banking passwords, or payment authentication credentials through email or customer support communications.

We encourage customers to review the applicable payment provider’s privacy practices before completing a transaction.

9. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

AMAREL does not sell customer personal information to data brokers for unrelated third-party marketing.

We may share personal information with trusted parties where reasonably necessary to operate our business, provide requested services, or comply with legal requirements.

These parties may include:

  • Payment service providers: To facilitate and verify transactions.
  • Shipping and logistics partners: To process deliveries, returns, and related fulfilment services.
  • Website and technology providers: To host, maintain, secure, and operate our digital services.
  • Customer communication providers: To deliver permitted transactional and marketing communications.
  • Analytics and advertising providers: Where such services are enabled and their use is permitted under applicable law.
  • Professional advisers and regulatory authorities: Where disclosure is necessary or legally required.

We seek to limit disclosures to information relevant to the services being provided and to apply appropriate safeguards when engaging third-party service providers.

Personal information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable laws, lawful government requests, legal proceedings, or to protect against fraud and unlawful activity.

In connection with a lawful business restructuring, merger, acquisition, or transfer, relevant personal information may be transferred subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate privacy protections.

10. Storage and Retention of Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for such additional periods as required or permitted by applicable law.

Retention depends on the nature and purpose of the information.

Order and Transaction Records These may be retained to comply with applicable tax, accounting, audit, consumer protection, and other legal requirements.

Customer Accounts Account information may be retained while an account remains active or while required for an ongoing customer relationship, subject to applicable retention and deletion requirements.

Exclusive Purchase Eligibility Records Information necessary to verify eligibility for future purchases may be retained for as long as reasonably required to administer the relevant exclusive purchase arrangement.

Because certain AMAREL fragrances may remain available for repurchase by qualifying original purchasers over an extended period, these records may be maintained for longer than ordinary transactional records, where justified and legally permissible.

Marketing Preferences Marketing consent and preference information may be retained while relevant to communications and for any additional period reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable obligations.

Support and Security Information Customer service records and security-related information may be retained for appropriate operational, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or otherwise dispose of it securely, subject to applicable law.

11. Protection of Personal Information

We recognise the importance of safeguarding the information entrusted to us.

AMAREL aims to maintain reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

Such measures may include controlled access to customer information, appropriate account security, secure transmission arrangements, and the use of reputable service providers.

Access to personal information is intended to be limited to authorised persons who require it for legitimate business purposes.

While we take reasonable precautions, no digital transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Where a personal data breach occurs, AMAREL will take appropriate steps to investigate, contain, and address the incident, and provide notifications where required under applicable law.

12. International Processing and Transfers

AMAREL primarily serves customers in India. However, certain technology, hosting, payment, analytics, or communication providers may process information using infrastructure located outside India.

Where personal information is transferred or processed internationally, we will take steps to ensure compliance with applicable Indian data protection requirements, including any applicable restrictions and safeguards.

These may include the ability to:

Where legally available, you may also approach the relevant data protection authority after following applicable grievance procedures.

14. Children’s Privacy

AMAREL’s website, products, and services are primarily intended for adults aged 18 years and above.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for independent customer accounts or marketing activities.

If we become aware that a child’s personal information has been collected in circumstances inconsistent with applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address the matter.

Any updated version will be made available through our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Where a change materially affects the way we process personal information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required by applicable law.
